Ted Klum London Model hard rubber Alto was designed based on several vintage Berg Larson Altos including Jackie McLean’s which he played throughout the 1980s! It is the brightest and most powerful of our hard rubber alto pieces while retaining warmth throughout the range and not thinning out in the upper register. This product was finalized after months of Prototypes and extensive testing and is currently available in sizes 6,7,8,9 as well as custom sizes upon request.

    Hi Ted,

Just wanted to say that this mouthpiece is absolutely incredible!! I’ve been searching for quite a while for a mouthpiece that offers plenty of power and cut without losing any richness or warmth. I’m ecstatic to say that my search is over! The new London Model for alto offers a perfect amount of focus and power, ideal for a soloist, all while maintaining the core and richness needed to blend within a section. The end result is a mouthpiece that I can see myself playing in LITERALLY any setting, from straight-ahead jazz to fusion, rock, and beyond! Thanks to all the people at Ted Klum Mouthpieces for making such an amazing product!!

    Best,
    Alex Upton

  2. Jimmy Calire

This is simply the best alto mouthpiece I’ve ever played on. The core tone is thick with an edge when pushed. It sub-tones with ease and the high end and harmonics remains solid . I love it!

  3. Jeffrey Jones

Love this mp for my silver plated 1930 large bore alto! Fat and sassy but with a classic old school sound…exactly what I was looking for!

  4. Diego Colelli

The mouthpiece at the same time bright and dark I play it for days and I love it has an imprint a ghostly sound
it contains all my kinds of sounds that I have in mind a fabulous mouthpiece I can’t stop playing it anymore thanks Ted.

The amount of detail put into this piece is amazing. It plays strong and freely up and down the horn, I wish that I discovered Ted’s pieces sooner!
